We support 2 great causes to help injured RL players and beat cancer!

Story

On the 6th January 2018 I am running the Polar Night Halfmarathon in Tromso, Norway in aid of the Steve Prescott foundation. Steve Prescott, a former professional Rugby league player started the foundation in 2007 after being diagnosed with a rare form of abdominal cancer in 2006. The foundation raises money for two charities; the Christies cancer hospital in Manchester and Tryassist, formerly known as the Rugby league Benevolent fund which aims to support players and their families whose lives are affected by serious injuries while playing the sport. Both charities helped Steve through his battle with cancer. If you have the time, it is worth watching the video that is linked to this post about Steve's story as it is truly inspiring. All donations are appreciated.

Many thanks,

About the charity

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.
