Many of you will know how long Elinor's hair is!  She has never had it cut (apart from trims) in her life!  Now she is nearly 13, it is down to her waist. 

This last year, Elinor's Nan has been battling cancer.  Although Nanny has been lucky enough to not lose her hair, it has made Elinor want to fundraise for a cancer charity.   She has decided to have her hair cut off in support of the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs entirely free to children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment. Elinor's plaits will be sent in the post to the charity. 

If the charity cannot source a real hair wig for a child, then it will buy one in, at a cost of £350 - £500 - which is where the fundraising comes in.
