Our Link of the charity has been bringing children to Portsmouth & Hayling Island from Belarus and Ukraine for many years - to escape the horrors of the radioactive fallout from the the 1986 nuclear accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.  The children stay for a month with local host families to breath clean air, eat uncontaminated food, experience things that they NEVER would at home and literally have a once in a lifetime experience.  We rely on the generosity of the host families, local dentists and opticians, retailers, local companies and visitor attractions, without whom we could do nothing.  Travel and visa costs have to be covered, clothes provided and the 'thousand and one' incidentals met.  

The four week recuperative break, away from contaminated food, water and air boosts their immune systems and makes a real difference to their health and well being.

It cost about £500 per child to get them to the UK, Your help is greatly appreciated.
