As part of PD Law Solicitors ongoing support for people living with Dementia and their carers in our community, our Managing Director, Phillip Doyle has agreed to take part in the Alzheimer's Skydive Day. He will be fundraising before his giant leap on Saturday 19th October 2019 at an airfield in Lancaster.

We have chosen Alzheimer's Research UK as our charity to raise funds to help them in the research to find effect treatments and medicines for Dementia sufferers and to ultimately find a cure for this  dreadful disease. Dementia is now the leading cause of death in the UK and many people in our community have been touch by its devastating effects not only on the person living with Dementia but on their loved ones.

Phil says

 " Sadly I have had first hand experience of Dementia in my own family and at present, there are only a small number of drug and non-drug treatments for specific forms of dementia. The current treatments help the symptoms, but don’t cure the diseases that cause dementia. 

All donations made will be given to Alzheimer's Research UK to help change this and support them right now in working on the current 26 potential new treatments for dementia and the dozen or more dementia treatments being tested in the final stages of clinical trials."
