Chauncy Maples Malawi Trust

We Develop lakeside primary healthcare to improve the lives of remote communities

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As you know we are getting married on 26th May 2012 in Oxford, and with any luck you will be there to cheer us on. After nine years together we have accumulated everything that we need (and then some). Instead of a wedding gift therefore we hope you will consider making a donation to our page.

All the money raised will go to the Chauncy Maples Malawi Trust. This is a fantastic, locally-based initiative working to bring much needed basic healthcare to families on the banks of Lake Malawi. For more info please see: http://www.chauncymaples.org/ or https://www.facebook.com/pages/Chauncy-Maples-Malawi-Trust/351278628256035 (don't forget to 'friend' them and spread the word!)

Our goal is to raise £500 to buy a laboratory microscope for the project, to enable rapid and accurate diagnosis and therefore treatment of life-threatening diseases such as cerebral malaria. Pictures of the microscope and of a patient benefiting from this equipment can be seen in the gallery below.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now - thanks.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the 26th! :)
