Alun & I have decided to run Lake Vyrnwy half marathon for the amazing charity I work for, The Movement Centre.
We are regular runners, however the challenge this time is that Alun is going to run with his wife!!!! This will be torture for him, not only because I’m a lot slower but also because I like to chat whilst running! It will also probably be the longest time we have spent together on our own for years!!
I’ve not run a long distance for a while and with hardly any training it will still be a massive challenge for me too!
The reason we are doing this at such short notice with no training is because The Movement Centre can no longer access funds from the NHS for any children who attend for a course of Targeted Training therapy. This has put an increased pressure on The Movement Centre to raise vital funds.
We want to do our bit and help, and a small donation to The Movement Centre will go a long way to help us survive and enable us to help more children from all over the UK. Your donation will have a direct impact on The Movement Centre’s ability to help so many children.
We really appreciate anything you can give, thank you so much.
.........Our mission at The Movement Centre is to maximise the potential of children’s movement control through Targeted Training. Many children who visit us have a disability that affects their movement control. Targeted Training addresses these issues. Consequently, a course of therapy can help children to gain essential functional skills. Gaining these skills can make a child far more independent. As a result, this can completely change their lives.
