I have recently been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and have been overwhelmed at the support I have been given by Macmillan. I chose to attend my first chemotherapy session dressed as a pirate. I wanted to lift the spirits of others less fortunate than me and raise a smile. As the story around this has had such a positive public reaction I have decided to use this exposure to raise money for this charity. I am planning to raise funds for Macmillan though being involved in various events over the next few months. If you could help me to raise money to support others on their difficult journey with cancer it would make me proud that I have made a positive difference.
