Hi there and thanks for reading - this page has been set up for my 6 year old daughter, Daisy, who has decided she would like to donate her hair to charity, and try and raise funds for another charity at the same time.
In May of this year, Daisy's beloved Nanny G died after a horrid 6 month battle with pancreatic cancer, and whilst we were all devasted and upset, it was some comfort to us that Nanny had been looked after so well at St Mary's Hospice. The staff, the rooms and the facilities were fantastic and as they run off donations, we think it only right we try and raise some cash for them so other families can have the support they need from them in the future.
Daisy has always had very long hair, and whilst its very pretty, Daisy has never been a fan of the washing and the tangles that go with it! We made a suggestion a long time ago, that she could have it cut off into a shorter style that might be easier to manage, and she has thought about it long and hard and made the desicion - she would like to cut it off and donate the hair to be made into wigs for children with cancer. The Little Princesses trust do a fantastic job at helping children with cancer live a normal day to day life with the help of free wigs made from human hair.
If you are able to sponser Daisy in her quest to raise money for St Mary's hospice, we would be most grateful, or alternatively - if you want to donate your hair, please find details on the little princess trust website http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk
thanks for reading
