Project 108 is a Global Yoga Initiative to provide financial aid to  those affected by the current conflict in Iraq.  This is a non-political human based initiative. 

On June 30, 2007, sponsored participants and non-participating online donors around the world will be able to take positive action in changing the lives of children caught in the middle of this conflict. The money will be donated in the memory of Dennis Pintor,  Father of 6 year old Rhea Pintor.

Dennis Pintor, died  Oct 04 in Baghdad by an IED (Improvised Explosive
Device) that struck his hummvee and killed his driver (Weger), gunner (Moreno), and him. Dennis was an Army Engineer Officer, his rank was Captain, he served with the 1st Cavalry Division as a Company Commander. Capt. Pintors wife asks that proceeds from the event be donated to War Child.

A previous incarnation of this project organized by Lisa Shrempp and Earle Birney in Tucson raised  $4,609.29 on Feb 14, 2007 for War Child  Canada  , and scholarships for Pima Community College.. This Time we've got it on our heads to do it in NYC, Arizona, LA, London, Dallas, Toronto, and anywhere else in the world that would like to participate.(Like your town, your yoga studio, or personal financial commitment. Or a group donation).

The Cost of War is Great, The Gift of Kindness is Greater.
