Story

On 15th August 2021 at 12:47 I completed my greatest challenge to date: 10 summits up Pen y Fan non-stop wearing a 10kg weighted vest! My final time was 18 hours 47 minutes!

Walking With The Wounded supports disadvantaged veterans and offers a pathway to re-integrate back into society and sustain their independence. This includes mental health support and helping veterans find employment. It's time to give back to those who have so selflessly served our country.

I come from a military family, and have seen first hand the sacrifices made by those who serve, and their families, day by day. I have also seen the wounds that war can leave both physically and mentally, and I hope through this challenge to help those in need of vital and immediate support. 24 hours of pain on Pen y Fan is nothing in comparison to the suffering that our men and women have, and continue, to go through as a result of their service.

Few words from my awesome patrons:

“I wish Louis the best of success on his latest inspirational and creative endurance challenge which is fundraising in aid of another great cause”

- Jordan Wylie

(Extreme Adventurer & Bestselling Author)

"Having trekked over Pen y Fan many times during my SAS career I can appreciate the enormity of the challenge Louis has set himself. To climb it 10 times within 24 hours will take serious stamina, determination and will power. A true test of endurance and for a worthy cause, I wish him the best of luck."

- Louis Rudd MBE

(Record-Breaking Polar Adventurer & Former Special Forces)
