Five brave members of Prosurv Consult are being joined by a team of local consultants and contractors from C2C Consulting, Staffordshire Access Scaffolding and Tarpey Woodfine Architects to take on The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday 29 June 2019, in aid of The Donna Louise Children's Hospice.
Construction of a new transition facility for young adults at the Donna Louise was completed last December and the team are hoping to raise as much money as possible to assist with the ongoing costs to run the new facility.
"As part of our work on the new building for young people at The Donna Louise, we've learned so much about the support they give to local children and young people with complex, life-limiting conditions, and their families. Until a couple of years ago, the Hospice wasn't able to care for young people beyond 19yrs, which meant that they were discharged and had nowhere else to turn for care, support and respite.
The new facility will ensure that young people, and their families, can continue to be supported by The Donna Louise for as long as they need to be, so we are hoping to raise as much money as we can to help them" - Richard Berry (Director, Prosurv Consult)
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough covering a total of 24 miles (38.6km) and 1,585m (5,200ft) of ascent within 12 hours.
All donations, big or small, will make a difference to support this fantastic charity to help change lives and are greatly appreciated.
