DWED

Not only are those who have type one diabetes at twice the risk of developing anorexia or bulimia, as many as 40% of 15 – 30 y/os omit insulin. This practice can result in organ failure, infertility, blindness and in the worst cases, death. DWED aims to put a stop to ignorance and mistreatment

Charity Registration No. SC042226

Story

So 7 days without a fizzy beverage is nothing, right? Perhaps for some, but for me I swear I probably bleed Pepsi Max!

I always have to be stocked up, less than a bottle left and I start to panic. Always looking around to find our which supermarket has offers on.

But I am going to do this. For DWED and as a bonus it's probably good for my health! From the 11th-17th June, being National Diabetes Week, I will be abstaining from drinking any Pepsi Max.

DWED desperately needs money. You'd likely be shocked at the pitiful amount of people that actually donate regularly or sign up for membership packages, it can be pretty gutting.

Any amount of money you can offer in sponsorship would be hugely appreciated. Obviously, there is an element of trust in this, but Ill be giving updates on my progress and I am sure people will have hawk eyes keeping a close watch! I'll also not be allowed any Diet Coke. Coke Zero, Diet Pepsi or any other bastardised forms of the Max, of course.

Please help by supporting my efforts! Thank you :). & be sure to take a look at www.dwed.org.uk for information on the charity, as well as the 'about us' page: www.dwed.org.uk/about-us/
