Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Joe has been a fairly regular in-patient at Glasgow children's hospital and the support of these guys has always been amazing.
They provide games, activities and a bit of fun to keep the kids entertained and make the whole experience a little less scary for them. They also provide support services for families, along with raising money for research and specialist equipment.
This April I was supposed to be running the Manchester Marathon to raise money for GCHC. That was postponed until October, then that was also postponed. So I thought, bollocks to that, I'll just run my own marathon! Then I thought, bollocks to that, I'll go ultra marathon!
Running an ultra marathon was one of the things on my 'before I'm 50' list. Quite clearly I still have several years to go, but no time like the present!
Although technically anything over 26.2m counts as an ultra, 50k (31m) is normally the minimum length classified as ultra. So I'm aiming low!
