We  hope that you will sponsor us on a ten mile walk along the South West coastal path in Dorset.

We are hoping to raise £400 for Asylum Welcome, an Oxford-based
charity that welcomes asylum seekers, refugees and detainees who have fled persecution and danger in their own countries and seek refuge in Oxford and Oxfordshire. We chose to support Asylum Welcome because we want to help a local charity that supports refugees living in our community. Some months ago, we watched the film Human Flow by Ai Wei Wei and it made us think about how difficult it is to be a refugee and to leave your whole life and those you know behind while trying to make a new life in a country where you may not even speak the language. This made us feel that we wanted to do something to help refugees in our neighbourhood.

We are both keen walkers and are doing our Duke of Edinburgh Award together. As part of our training for this walk we have been going jogging together every week so that we are in good shape for the challenge. We have done some walking along this path in the past and know that the steep hills will take a lot of energy.
