This Saturday (29th April 2017) I will be jumping out of an aeroplane to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Society (RNLI) a charity very close to my heart. My brother is and has been a volunteer crew member for a number of years and I know invaluable the service is to all of us.
I would say that this has always been a dream of mine to do a skydive, but that would be a massive fib. Never have I wanted to jump out of a plane thousands of feet up in the air; however, I am going to give it a go.
We live on an island and have some of the most beautiful coastlines and waterways, however, as stunning as they are they can be equally dangerous. We never know when we may need to call on the services of the volunteer Lifeboat crews up and down the country. These brave men and women volunteer and risk their own lives to save others lost and stranded at sea.
The RNLI do an amazing job helping so many people and I hope, in a small way, me pulling this crazy stunt can go somewhere towards helping them to continue the work they do.
There is no turning back, wish me luck :)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
