Derbados Cycling Tour Challenge

As a trustee of Annabel's Angels, I am helping to co-organise the Derbados Cycling Tours challenge to cycle 193 KM in Derby on the weekend of Friday 12, Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 April 2019 to raise funds for Derbyshire Institute of Sport and Annabel's Angels

Whilst Dean and David and their gang cycle Mallorca itself, I am training with Jemma Brown, James Arkesden and Marcus Bewley to cycle the 193 KM route of Mallorca together here in Derbyshire, sharing the miles!

I am no sports person, AT ALL, so this is a significant challenge for me at the least...and you can't organise something and not do it eh? Equally cancer has touched my families life numerous times over the years (and wonderful friends too), and since joining Annabel’s Angels I really wanted to do my bit to help people at a very difficult time - the charity has helped over 175 families since we began, and I want to make sure we can help more.

Any sponsorship is so gratefully received,...your money goes to help people undergoing cancer treatment and local Derbyshire athletes to become champions.....and so whilst I can cycle, I can raise money too, and play my part in making a difference..

Pls note that the organizers of the challenge made 2 changes to the challenge today (26 Feb) - we are now cycling 193 KM and not miles - still a mountain to climb!! And Derby teams have until 30 April to cycle the full distance - come on, come and join us!
