Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As 2018 marks my 50th birthday, I wanted to mark the occasion and honour everyone involved at Brompton Hospital.
In 2003 my husband Mike was rushed to Brompton Hospital for emergency surgery due to Endocarditis. He endured several major operations and many weeks of recovery and then last year had further valve replacement and aneurysm repair surgery.
It is without doubt due to the skill and care of the doctors and nurses at Brompton that Mike initially survived and that he has continued to remain fit and well through their ongoing care.
I must mention a couple of very special individuals. Professor John Pepper who performed Mikes original operation, who is not only a brilliant surgeon, but his care and compassion during that very difficult time was without doubt above and beyond his 'call of duty'. I still remember his very kind words he would always have, for not only his patient, but for myself during this incredibly difficult episode in our lives. Mr Ulrich Rosendahl performed his surgery last year and once again he received the highest quality skill and care at Brompton.
This JustGiving page is my way of expressing my deepest gratitude to the Brompton Hospital for giving Mike the gift of life and allowing me and our children to have and continue to have a wonderful life with him.
Please give whatever you can and as always many thanks for your support.
