Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Always up for a challenge: This September Williams&Crosby's Ed Williams and John Shouls are headed out on an epic challenge across Europe to raise money for a great cause The Children's Adventure Farm Trust who provide breaks for terminally ill and under privileged children, many of which have never experienced a holiday in their lives. It's hard for most of us to imagine in this day and age that there are children who have never had a weekend or weeks holiday and the difference it can make to their lives.

So what is our challenge!
Buy a car for under £500, you don't get a lot for £500 never mind needing it to reliably for 1,500 or 3,000 miles! We are then to meet up with the other teams in Calais, then drive it over 1,500 miles across Europe to Munich via the Austrian mountain passes whilst completing challenges along the way.

If that wasn't enough, if you kind people (sadistic), would like to up the stakes you can challenge the pair to get the clapped out old car all the way home again! (3,000 miles)

Why?
It seemed like a good idea after a beer!
Williams&Crosby are sponsors of the North East Cheshire Business Awards (www.necbawards.co.uk/), a free to enter Business Awards event, who are in turn are sponsors of The Children's Adventure Farm Trust (http://www.caft.co.uk/). CAFT are a shining light in the lives of many special children who know have unfortunately experienced so much hardship in their young lives. CAFT providing free holidays and respite for children who otherwise may never get the opportunity experience a holiday in their special lives.

What can you do?
If you would like to sponsor these nutters (Ed & John) to do a good deed then we would be delighted to receive any donations you are willing to offer, but here are a few ideas:

Minimum of £1 for every 150 miles completed (£10 for the outward journey)

Minimum of £1.50 for every 150 miles completed (£15 for the returned journey)

£100 for your company logo to go on side panels of the car (to hold it together)

£250 for a company logo to go on door panels of the car (also holding it together)

£400 for a company logo to go on the bonnet or boot of the car (further holding it together)

Car (must be roadworthy with MOT and taxed. Ideally it'll be likely to cover 3,000 miles so we have half a chance of raising monies for the charity). Williams&Crosby will then sell off the car to the highest bidder in order to buy another car next year and start the whole adventure again - If you are interested contact Ed (ed@wandc.com). Oh yes, the car got a full set of new tyres for the trip, is MOT'ed until May '17 and the branding can be removed for you if you'd like.

We will be sending daily photos and tweets as we go with all donations raised being announced at the North East Cheshire Business Awards black tie gala dinner at Mere Country Club. To take part in the awards go to: www.necbawards.co.uk. If you can't make the event but would like to  help us give some special children a fantastic gift, all donations will be appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. The event rally has been moved to Munich and starts 14th September 2016.
