Story
Many of you will know that in March 2014 we lost our daughter, Poppy Lois, at 21 weeks pregnant. Since then we have suffered a further two miscarriages, both at around 10 weeks of pregnancy. Each time, trying to get back to 'normal' and to go on with life has been horrifically hard, and has taken a lot of strength.
We're very lucky as we have had family and friends around us who have supported us throughout the last few years, but we've also found support from the charity Saying Goodbye, posts from which many of you will have seen on our Facebook pages.
The charity is there to support people who have been through baby loss at any point in their life, and also to support the family and friends of those who've suffered miscarriages, and to support couples through future pregnancies. But there is not enough out there about the charity, so many people have to go through this traumatic, heart breaking time without the support that they need. I'm raising money, with the help of family and friends, to enable information about the charity to be put into hospitals across the country, to ensure that the Saying Goodbye services can continue and to enable the charity to keep on working to change the treatment and support of people going through loss, by hospitals and health care professionals, as well as by society as a whole.
