Well, here we go again! I am on bended knee to ask for your help and support in raising money for Bliss. Those of you who know me, long distance (and yes, half marathon is a long distance for me) is not my forte! But I want to give something back to the amazing people at Bliss. I will run 6 half marathons between now and December. Some will be off road too, and I have just found out that I have a place for the London Marathon 2014 now too! So please sponsor me if you can!

I am truly blessed to have 3 amazing girls, all born prematurely, all doing excpetionally well due to the work of Bliss, the nurses of Neonatal in Exeter, and of course of their mum, Mand.

However, we are one of the lucky families. Lots of families are not as lucky as us with premature births and babies who are too sick when born. Only recently, a mum Mand was in hospital with, told us the news she had lost her son who had been ill since birth. Totally heart breaking and unfair.

I want to help other families who go through things similar to this or what we went thorugh as family.

Isla was  eight and half weeks premature, had meninghitis twice, but with the support of the nurses and Bliss, pulled through and is doing incredibly well! Off to school in September 2013!

Bo is nearly two, born 5 weeks premature, again, doing amazingly well. Just like her Dad, she loves sport and her club Everton!

Aoife is the latest addition to the family. She was born 8 weeks early and had to go through similar things as Isla did, but thank god, no meninghitis. Aoife is doing really well and the nurses and Mand did an incredibly job whilst in hospital.

There are at least 3 people in work who have been affected by premature births, thankfully all children doing well. The work that Bliss and the nurses do is incredible.

However, the other role of Bliss is to support the families of youngsters who are not as lucky. Bliss support grieving parents and families in the worst of times - spare a thought for these families.

I know times are tough, but if you could find any spare cash that you could give to this cause, I and hundreds of families, will always be grateful. Think about it  - 50p per half marathon? A tenner for London?
