So I have started the Rowledge "Middles", a band of middles aged, middle incomers of Middle England, who I have encouraged to take on a parachute jump in the summer of 2012 for the thrill of a lifetime and in doing so hope to raise the profile of the new charity Coming Home and a few pounds to support it too.
This important newly launched charity, has the aim of finding and adapting accommodation for very seriously injured British servicemen and women casualties left severely disabled by battlefield injuries, many of whom have unique housing needs, to allow them to take part-ownership in their own special homes.
This charity, which is being supported by the Prime Minister in support of the enshrining of the Military Covenant into law, has a website at http://www.haighousingtrust.org.uk/index.htm. Do take a look.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So I will be leading the team and jumping too with this merry team; therefore please donate what you can to me or any of the other middle-aged of Rowledge and spread the word about this really important new charity - Coming Home. Please do as much or as little you feel you can. Thanks!
