My name is Riley, I am a 5year old Miniature Schnauzer

In August I will be running the Dog Jog 5K in Heaton Park with my human mummy to raise money for the lovely dogs over at Dogs Trust.

I will be running on what would have been my big brothers 7th birthday....... Ramsay, my big German Shepherd brother sadly died in April this year. He used to be my mummy's running partner, but since then I have been keeping her company and helping her with her training, so she has signed me up for this! She says that I will enjoy it.... but we shall see!  We definitely had our differences, but I miss Ramsay every day and I am excited to do something to remember him by.

I get toys, treats (the odd ice cream and cake!), runs in the park, trips to the moors, the beach and the pub! holidays to Cornwall, all the cuddles and kisses I ask for....and share a huuuuuge bed with my human mummy and daddy. I wish that all dogs could have the life that I have, and would like to raise as much money as I can to help provide them with everything they need while they wait for their new homes...if it was down to my human daddy he would adopt everyone with a head tilt and puppy dog eyes... but mummy says we can run around and raise money for them instead!

All dogs deserve loving homes and human affection, but not all dogs are as fortunate as me. Dogs Trust is the UKs largest dog welfare charity and last year cared for nearly 17,000 dogs. They rely entirely on the generosity of dog loving humans to provide the love and care that this abandoned or rehomed dogs need... Dogs Trust will never put a healthy dog down.
