Story
We are proud to announce that here at RiverSafe we have some keen sports people who are bracing themselves for a couple of races in the coming months!
We have 3 people from Riversafe wanting to test their stamina as they tackle a mix of 10k’s and 21k’s. This race will take place in Victoria park on the 3rd of August. They are not regular runners so this will be a challenge as they see how much they can push themselves individually and as a team to try and achieve their goals. Completing these rather long races; means training in this heat which must be draining!
There is also a group of 6 people taking part in the Tough Mudder obstacle run in Clapham on the 4th-5th of October! This is a 5k race filled with freezing cold water, huge obstacles to tackle and you guessed it… plenty of mud to go with it! Again, none of the people from RiverSafe are competitive racers, so it is an amazing opportunity to get the Riversafe team bonding, and they’ll get some valuable exercise as well as raise lots of money for an amazing cause which is close to RiverSafe’s heart – Help for Heroes!
Last November Riversafe and its partner Splunk signed the armed forces covenant as they recognise the efforts of those who serve and had served in the forces. They can offer unique skills and advanced problem solving. Riversafe have recruited people who have worked in the armed forces and believe these people have shown great values, motivation and have become assets to the Riversafe business.
