Thanks for taking the time to visit our RNLI-911 Challenge JustGiving page.
Post retirement we have chosen to create a challenge combining our three great passions:
- The RNLI
- The Porsche 911
- The wonderful British Isles coastline
With your help we are hoping to raise £238 for each of the 238 RNLI lifeboat stations.
It costs approx £460,000 PER DAY to run the RNLI with NO funding from the government - only from donations. The 4,700 brave volunteers lifeboat crew cover 19,000 miles of coastline operating in over 3,500 hours of darkness. 141,500 lives have been saved since the RNLI was formed in 1824 - with 558 in 2016 alone.
Our challenge starts from the Teddington RNLI lifeboat station at 9.11am on 23-8-18 and all going well will end at 8.11am on 30-9-18 at the Tower RNLI station - it would be great to see as many of you as possible somewhere along the route at one of the 238 RNLI lifeboat stations.
In the meantime we would welcome any donations to our chosen worthy cause The RNLI.
