Story

This Autumn I'm gearing up to take on two epic challenges in memory of my sister Georgina, who lost her battle to leukaemia on 22 August 2009, just a few weeks before her 21st birthday.

On 24th September 2017 I'll be mounting my bike with one of my best friends Ben Ford to complete the Velo Birmingham, a 100 mile bike ride through Worcestershire and Staffordshire. And then a month later on Sunday 15th October I'm going to take on the challenge of running the full Birmingham marathon, 26.2 miles!

George was an inspiration to everyone that knew her. We miss her every day and I'm so proud of how she fought during her treatment I want to do something to raise funds in her memory.

Both events are going to be a huge challenge. Myself and Ben have never cycled anything as far before and up until a year ago I thought I wouldn't be able to run a half marathon, let alone a full one. It has been months of training to prepare.

Please can we ask for your help to reach our target of raising £2,000 for Cure Leukaemia.

The money raised with go directly towards helping Cure Leukaemia raise their £1million target to fund the expansion of the internationally renowned Centre for Clinical Haematology. Not only will the expanded Centre immediately save more lives but it will also hasten global progress towards eradicating all forms of blood cancer within 25 years, a goal that we all want to reach even sooner.

Thanks for your support.
