I didn't serve in HM Armed Forces, as I had asthma as a youngster, but my father and my uncles did.  

Dad served in WW2 with the RAF and his elder brother my Uncle Jim was killed on active duty with Bomber Command.  Uncle Robert served in Aden with the Middlesex Regiment.

Countless men and women made awful sacrifices to preserve the freedoms we take for granted and feel I should put something back, so I raise funds for military charities, helping those who have served their country and lost physical and mental health or even their lives.

Ride to the Somme for SSAFA is far and away my hardest cycling challenge yet!
