The Bronte Sisters, The musketeers, Atomic Kitten, the Big Mommas House films, the (seasonally relevant) Wisemen and of course Peter Crouch’s 2007 hattrick against Arsenal. Since the beginning of time it has been common knowledge that all INCREDIBLE things come in 3s.
You may recall that over the last couple of years I took part in two half marathons. I often compare these races to the first two Lord of the Rings films. Yes, Frodo endured great hardship for the first 66.66666% of his quest and he achieved a lot, but ultimately he knew the challenge of the final third of his journey would be the hardest to overcome.
SO... with no Boromir and no Gandalf I will be hauling myself up Mount Doom (the M3) to Mordor (London) to play out my own ‘Return of the King’ and by this poorly executed reference to a series films i’ve not seen enough to be capable of making a comical reference to I announce that i am running the LONDON MARATHON 2018.
That’s right, although i’ve already done 2 half marathons Her Majesty The Queen claims that ‘Doing two ‘alves still dunt count’ and has denied my knighthood application of early this year. The half marathons were a challenge but I really am unsure what i've left myself in for with this one. Much like Samwise Gamgee this is the farthest away from the shire ive ever been.
