Within the historic area of the grounds of the school there are two important woodland areas. Within one wood is a former school farm building now derelict. Rowdeford Charity Trust and the School wish to restore and extend this as an Outdoor Learning Space to facilitate and expand the delivery of existing ‘Outdoors Learning’ education to give the pupils experiences that will help them when they leave the school and join the wider community.
With this Centre in place the intention is to create an exemplary facility that extends its work to share and involve the wider community in partnerships. Volunteers, communities and visiting schools will be offered training opportunities thus breaking down barriers between people with special needs and others and becoming a Centre of Excellence of Outdoor Learning.
We are 25% there with grants, donations and pledges but we need your help to raise more. Let the children tell you how much -https://youtu.be/89vtxEceIKY
