Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, raising money for the North Devon Hospice in memory of the late John Martin.

To honour his life and the great man he was, Jase (a fellow Royal Marine) and I will be running the gorgeous South West Coastal Path from Minehead to Braunton CC. 

UPDATE

Apologies for the lack of communication with you all.  This has been a difficult year for all and of course, has impacted our intentions to conduct this charity run. With careful consideration and to reduce risk, we have decided to change the date of this event to March 2021. There are several reasons for this; most notably, we hope by this time the issue of COVID will have reduced, or to a point where we can mitigate most risks and conduct the run safely. Also, March time will present us more daylight hours and make the run a safer event.

We will update you all on the finer details of the new planned date closer to the time and we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe new year.

The fundraising will consist of:

Running 60 miles in total, with a total elevation gain of over 11,000 feet.

Life throws many things at us, in all shapes and sizes, and remembering that we are lucky enough to be able to do this fundraising, especially for such a good cause, will give us that determination to complete it.  The South West Coastal Path boasts some amazing views and even though it will be arduous and our bodies will be worn from it, we will make the most of it and enjoy the adventure, as life is short enough.

How much do we wish to raise?  Any amount of money for such an amazing cause will be amazing but as the birth date of Braunton CC is 1880, we are aiming high for £1,880.
