So 2 years ago I ran the Royal Park's Half Marathon for the first time and swore I would never do it again....but here I am, running it again in 2 weeks' time.
Why? I may blame my colleagues for convincing me to do it but that doesn't change the fact that I am running for a very worthy cause, supporting the Haller Foundation.
For those that don't know, Haller support and work with small, rural communities near Mombasa in Kenya, helping promote sustainable economic development to allow thousands of Kenyans to lift themselves out of poverty.
Haller implements integrated programmes in water, farming, education, health, alternative energy and nano-enterprise. These community partnerships are not quick fixes, but offer long-term changes which empower farmers and their children to lead self-sufficient and sustainable lives.
With that in mind, and the fact that due to injury I have only managed 3 training runs (say what!), please, please donate to help motivate me around the delightful 13.1 mile course. Every amount, small or large, really does help.
