Story
This is a picture of my son Aaron, about to enjoy another day at Summer Holiday Club at The Way Wolverhampton Youth Zone (http://www.thewayyouthzone.
Aaron chooses from sporting activities such as football and badminton as well as pool and table tennis. For his creative side he can enjoy drawing and cookery. Aaron likes to be heard, so the music and dance studios are always popular. If Aaron had a favourite activity though it would be spending time in the Sensory Room. Here he can play with loads interactive toys that he loves. The Sensory Room is ideal for children with additional needs like Aaron but I know it's also widely enjoyed by other children.
I have decided to run the Birmingham Half Marathon on 15th October in aid of the Sensory Room at The Way Wolverhampton Youth Zone. I'm not much a runner but will do my very best. My friend Taryn Taylor has also kindly agreed to raise money, for the Sensory Room as well, from her run on the same day. Taryn though is running the full Marathon – 26.2 miles! The money raised will help buy toys for the sensory room and fund activities to help young people with additional needs.
