At 37 the last thing I expected was a diagnosis of breast cancer. As the new year starts I've signed up to do Swimathon 2018 at Keyworth Leisure Centre on Friday 27th April. It's a challenge to myself to show myself that my body post surgery and treatment can achieve something positive, to give myself a positive goal to aim for as I settle back into normal life again after 6 months craziness, but mostly because it's raising money for Cancer Research UK. I've been on the recieving end of their work, research and valued the information on their website over the last 6 months. I'd love to give just a little back and help someone else on their own journey through cancer.
