We are there when it matters to support people through dying or grief.

Story

On Sunday 28th April 2019, I will be running the London Marathon for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. As many of you will know, the Hospice provided an invaluable support to my incredible mum when she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Manorlands helped by providing things such as a stairlift, a recliner chair and more for our house to help mum live as comfortably and normally as possible, whilst mum also attended the Day Therapy services.

Mum passed away in October 2015, at the age of just 49, four years after her diagnosis with a malignant brain tumour. After all the support Manorlands provided mum and our family throughout her illness, this is my opportunity to give something back to the charity.

It costs £9000 per day to run the Hospice and its services, and all the funds raised from this page will be used to support people living with a life changing illness.

Any donation you are able to give will be hugely appreciated, and will help other families receive the same care and support from Manorlands that we did when we needed it the most. Thank you.

*I’ve started writing a blog, which will be all about my preparation for the London Marathon, my fundraising and my wonderful mum. If you’d like to have a read, please go to https://ryansroadtolondon.home.blog
