This is what Kieran was determined to do in memory of his brother.
Kieran and I (Reece) are taking on the challenge of riding from St.Mary's stadium in Southampton to Anfield stadium in Liverpool and back to University Hospital Southampton, in 5 days! Starting on May 28th, and aiming to be back June 1st. Challenging because Kieran is only 16, so can only do the journey on a 50cc moped, avoiding motorways! We are doing this to raise funds for Piam Brown Ward in memory of Ryan (little brother and son, respectively), who sadly passed away last year after a 15 month battle with Neuroblastoma cancer.
Football played a big part in Ryan's life - hence the stadiums of his first (Liverpool) and second (Southampton) favourite teams. As did Piam Brown ward during his treatment.
Piam Brown is the Wessex regional children's cancer ward. Children come from Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Surrey, Sussex, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands to receive care on the unit. The ward caters for children from birth to 16 years olds; and treats all types of cancer.
The Piam Brown Ward fund strives to improve the experience of life on the ward for young patients and their families. Your support will help provide: Memories through trips and outings; Equipment for the play rooms; Parent facilities; Patient, family and staff welfare; Research and education opportunities.
