Nightingale House offers a wide range of facilities to local people and their families living with life-limiting illness. Patients come from Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire and outlying areas. In 2025 it will cost £5,603,094 million to run the Hospice - this equates to nearly £15,351 per day.

Story

For over 20 years staff here at Nightingale House Hospice have created an environment that gives patients and their loved ones quality time to spend together. Not having to worry about the care a loved one receives, knowing they are in safe hands means every second spent together is dignified and peaceful. Without support such as yours, our specialist palliative care units wouldn’t be able to deliver such high standards.

All money raised here will go directly to the Hospice as I have self funded my trek. I have been very humbled by everyone's kind words of support and generosity. I have fundraised with a group of friends for a couple of years now and every time we have visited the hospice you feel the warmth of the staff and know you are doing something worthwhile. The following figures will give you some insight into how much it costs to run the hospice.

£13 feeds a patient for one day.

£41 funds one child bereavement session.

£500 keeps an ambulance on the road for one month.

£7,700 to run the hospice for one day which equates to £2.8 million per year. Only 22% of this comes from the Local Health Board.

Last year Nightingale House Hospice treated 5742 patients across all of their services. Please support this wonderful place by giving whatever you can to help them help others. Every penny donated  is very gratefully received.
