We recently lost our great friend Penny Jarvis; she had been a loyal client for many years and we always looked forward to her visits with us. Penny was a loving, kind person who shone so brightly in this troubled world and in memory of her, we will be making the Alzheimer’s Research Organisation our chosen charity for 2017. We will be teaming up with our sister company Sweet Paradise and will be holding a monthly draw to win a hamper stuffed with lots of wonderful things to make you smile (shampoos, hair driers, curling wands, sweets, chocolates, truffles etc) You can purchase tickets from either shops throughout the year, or make a one-off payment of £10 and you will automatically be entered into each month’s draw. 
The highlight of our fundraising will be a team hike to the top of Mount Snowdon on the 8th May. We have all embraced the challenge (some took longer than others!) and are very much looking forward to the trip and the prospect of raising as much money as we can for such a great charity. Did you know that there are over 850,000 people affected by Dementia in our country and the numbers are on the increase too? If it does not affect us directly, we are very likely to know someone who has had their life devastated by this illness. 
We will have special events in the salon and there will be Sponsorship Forms available for you to support us on our adventure. We will be keeping you posted on our progress – and the inevitable accumulation of blisters during our training sessions! Thank you in advance for your involvement in our fundraising. I know that we will all reap the benefits from doing good things for others.
