Charitable giving is an important part of the life of City Livery Companies.  I have no experience of abseiling and I suffer from a fear of heights - in particular falling through them.  So I'm only doing this because people like you are donating to the Lord Mayor's Appeal.  I need to raise at least £500 but am aiming for £50 per vertical foot  - £4,700 - so please dig deep and donate.

PPS The Senior Warden would have loved to have joined us but he's doing something else on another continent that day and likes abseiling so doesn't qualify.  There are places available if you'd like to join us.
