I have decided to run the Dorney Lake marathon in 2021 to raise money and awareness for Autism and ADHD in children.

As most of you know my son Jack has been diagnosed with autism and ADHD. He faces challenges daily and everyday things we take for granted is difficult for Jack.

With the help of charities like these, it helps raise awareness of these silent disabilities and in turn helps families cope with everyday challenges of having a child with Autism or ADHD.

Jack and I have been on a huge journey since his diagnosis and I know this is a journey we will take for the whole of his life. My main aim as a mother is for him to not feel like he is treated any differently or sidelined in any way due to his condition and I want him to go through life enjoying it to the max!! I want him to be treated fairly and to have access to opportunities that every child has. I just want him to be happy.

To me jack is special with a big heart. Yes he can be frustrating at times but he is my frustration and I wouldn’t have him any other way.

I hope by putting myself through this challenge I can raise awareness and money for a charity who provides support to children and families like us.

Jack keep being you and don’t ever change for anyone.
