Growing up my dad had a skin condtion called X-linked Ichthyosis, he forever covered up and was embarassed by his appearance. This really hurt to watch growning up and so when I had my children I feared they too may have the same condition. Lucky for us our first 2 dont but our youngest son does.

A few days ago Caleb (my middle son) was really upset when he heard someone make a comment on Mason's skin, for those who don't know Mason has X-linked Itchthyosis, this is a rare skin condition that has yet have a treatment let alone a cure. There WILL be answers out there but without funding to get the answers nothing will change. Caleb had asked we do something to raise awareness of Mason's condition and so we are ALL running a 5k color run on Caleb's 8th Birthday (something he is super excited about). Now comes the time I ask you all to please be generous you can donate form anywhere in the world on this page even if the cost of a coffee, I am using this not only for the charity but for my boys to see what good can be done when you work hard and try
