Ryder was born on the 1st September 2015 at 33 weeks +6 days gestation.

Sadly at 5 days old he passed away after developing NEC.

Ryder's parents Chloe & Ryan and both sets of families/extended families were given full use of the Benson Suite at Salisbury District Hospital after Ryder's return from Southampton Hospital.

The Benson Suite is a dedicated suite available for parents and their families that very sadly experience the same or similar. Because of The Benson Suite our family were able to be there together for Ryder's baptism, say our Goodbye's and spend as much time as we wished before, during and after Ryder's passing.

The midwifes, doctors and consultants here were nothing but amazing, extremely sensitive and caring.

This page has been set up so that their vitally important work within the suite can continue in the future for other bereaved parents.
