It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

In 2021 I will be fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK by:

- I have a charity place at Edinburgh Half Marathon which will take place in the form of a virtual half marathon this year. Instead of completing the half marathon in Edinburgh, the half marathon will take place in Leicester to meet with the current UK covid guidelines. My time will be officially uploaded to the virtualEMF database.

- On the 21st June, I will be hosting a coffee and cake day, offering cakes and drinks in exchange for donations to this cause. This event will help to ensure that I meet the £300 target set!

Please follow my twitter @samsmith_wwfc for my previous fundraising events and all the updates of my fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

I am fundraising in memory of my Grandmother, Margaret Smith.

Pancreatic cancer is a tough one but we’re taking it on. It is tough to diagnose, tough to treat, tough to research and tough to survive. For too long this disease has been sidelined. We want to make sure that everyone affected by it gets all the help they need. We are supporting those affected by the disease, investing in ground breaking research, lobbying for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer and being a voice for everyone involved in the fight. Together we are taking on pancreatic cancer.
