On the 24th of September I will be running a half marathon. Once again I would like to take the opportunity to raise some money to help the Doris Banham's dog rescue team. This charity is close to my heart not only because I  have rescued one of their dog but also being a small charity they rarely get any financial help yet what the volunteers do on a daily basis is rather amazing. They give their time up for nothing in return, making sure the dogs are cared for as they should. Most of the dogs they rescue are often hours from being put to sleep through no fault of their own and only because our society has let them down. I believe that the commitments of those amazing people deserve some help and I believe that they should not have the added concern of wondering where will they find the funds to save the next dog that so desperately needs help. This is why I will run and with your help we can raise some much needed cash so they can carry on to do the fantastic job they are doing and that more dogs can be saved from a certain death.
