Story
In 2018 I started my MA research project titled 'Mental Health Monsters'. My intention was to increase awareness of mental illness through art and design pieces and address how creative practice can support wellbeing.
Throughout my journey I have considered how art and design can make a difference. I have been asked the following; "What can your work do that is bigger than yourself?" Considering that question I have designed, printed and made a womenswear coat (size XS/M oversized fit XS and S ) to fundraise for the charity BEAT. This one off piece is being raffled and all funds raised will go to support BEAT.
To donate and chance to win the coat raffle*:
- Enter donation min £10 (please include your name @socialmedia username, state FB or IG account and make visible)
- You can donate multiple times (more donations = more raffle entries)
- Follow Instagram account saranowellart (https://www.instagram.com/saranowellart)
- Share and Like on all social media platforms
- All funds raised go to support BEAT
- Donations/Raffle will close 11th October 2021
- Coat winner will be announced and contacted via saranowellart Instagram account from 18th October 2021
For any positive change to happen in mental health funding it first starts with support. Please support and help by donating.
*The coat can only be packaged and sent to a UK or Northern Ireland address.
*You must make your donation name visible to be counted in the raffle, your @username for either IG or FB and state which it is so I can get in touch - without your name I have no means of contact
*Coat is digital printed brushed velvet, one off design will fit size XS-M. The coat is designed to be oversized on XS and S and will comfortably fit M more snugly.
