I am running the marathon in memory of my father who tragically lost his life whilst sailing the North Sea. He was rescued by Belgian sea rescue, but died later in hospital. The Belgian sea rescue is part of the Belgium military, our RNLI is made only of Volunteers and relies on charitable donations. The men and women of the RNLI do a wonderful job and without whom many more fathers, brothers, wives and sisters would be lost.
