Brighterway is the charity at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, a community physical and mental health provider, (where I work) which support projects  that help to improve the health and wellbeing of patients or staff, funding projects and innovation that isn’t normally funded by the NHS. For example Kingsley ward (Acute Mental Health ward) started a craft group with funds were staff and patients are learning together, supporting and improving mental health wellbeing.

A group of runners including service users and staff are running either 10k or Half marathon to raise money for Brigterway projects, alongside raising awareness around the trust as a healthy workplace which is inclusive and diverse.

My story: Its ok to not be ok! we all have mental health from one degree to another and running helps me to keep mine in the right balance as a busy working mum, I want to raise awareness around this and set up a its ok to not be ok support network across the trust for staff. #itsoktonotbeok
