21 APRIL - Updating amounts...

Hi folks,

Thanks for the recent donations, and especial thanks to the anonymous donors since I won't be able to thank you via email. I'm also editing the offline amounts since Dwayne Moses paid his promise and then some at the site which I had been counting in the offline total, so in theory I'm still a bit short of my goal, but in reality there are still some friends promising to visit the site and donate. We'll see how much money we hand over to John Grooms, but thanks again to all who helped out - I'm really touched by the show of support!

19 APRIL - I DID IT!!

Hi folks,

Well, I'm thrilled to report that I just ran the London Marathon. It was a great experience and I'm pleased to have been a part of it. Hats off to the other thousands of runners, especially those in costume! It was a banner day and no matter how miserable it may have seemed at the time, I'm already looking back at it fondly. I finished in 4:09 which was about 10 minutes slower than I hoped, but still enough to leave me quite content. And all my fundraisers have been wonderful - thanks so much for helping me and John Grooms. I'm working on my recovery now so that walking is easy and stairs are manageable - should be back to normal by May at least :^) 31 MARCH OFFLINE TOTAL: 325GBP!! Hi Everyone, Thanks for visiting. As you may know, I'm not a great salesperson or fundraiser. So, be patient with me and please help out for a good cause. I've been a runner for years and always wanted to run a marathon. This is a great opportunity for me and I'm combining it with fundraising for a great charity - John Grooms. They do outstanding work with rehab, housing, support, and research for people who have suffered from strokes and other brain injuries. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: John Grooms will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support. Wish me luck on 18 April!! Cheers, Scott
