We support those affected by Arthrogryposis to understand the condition and meet others

Story

On July 2nd 2016 myself and a group of 10 friends intend to
walk/run the three highest peaks in the UK, Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdon within 24 hours (including the travelling time). The well-known endurance challenge is likely to test the group both physically and mentally but all of us are determined to succeed, and in doing so aim to raise as much money as possible for a charity called the Arthrogryposis group.

Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) is a term used to
describe over 300 conditions that cause multiple curved joints in areas of the body at birth.  It varies from person to person with the commonality being stiff joints and muscle weakness.  As some of you will know, my grandson William was born with the condition.  In spite of his condition, he is a happy little boy who we are very proud of.  TAG  is a small charity and as such does not generate a great deal of attention.  Our hope is to raise funds to help them and
to raise local awareness of the condition.

We intend to travel up to Scotland on July the 1st and carry out the
challenge on Saturday July 2nd, finishing on the 3rd.  We will start our climb of Ben Nevis at 7:30am and aim to complete Snowdon before 7:30am the next morning, therefore completing the 3 peaks in less than 24 hours.

If you can spare a few pounds to help us raise money for
this little charity I would very grateful

Thank you for supporting me     Sian

At The Arthrogryposis Group we are able to offer local level support to people living with Arthrogryposis Muliplex Congenita (AMC) or one of the 200 related conditions. We provide regular information and updates on care and treatment, and through our events we give excellent opportunities to meet others with arthrogryposis, their families and anyone involved in their care.
