Story

Hello & thank you for taking time to read why I am raising money for the Dogs Trust - specifically the “Freedom Project”.

The project provides vital support to those fleeing domestic violence households and arranges foster care for dogs whilst the victim is in refuge.

Pets & dogs suffer from domestic violence too, in many forms - being beaten/killed, used to control victims and with 95% of professionals working in the sector stating that victims will not leave their abuser without knowing their pets would be safe.

Since lockdown has begun, domestic violence cases have increased & there will always be a need for this service to keep people and pets safe.

Being very fond of a trip to London, I have decided that since I can’t go over the next while, I will be cycling the distance of 545.9 miles from Aberdeen to London (country roads & private land to comply with government legislations during Coronavirus)

I will post updates with screenshots of mileage completed and will complete by the end of May. The more money raised, the quicker I will complete this.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. We rescue and rehome dogs all over the UK (Ireland too). We never put a healthy dog down. We also promote responsible dog ownership through youth education, neutering and microchipping campaigns. A dog is for Life, not just for Christmas ©
