Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page in memory of Shane Jackson.

On Wednesday 20th September 2017, Shane Jackson passed away following a 20-month battle with cancer.

Over the last 20 months, not many people knew about Shane's diagnosis, which was his choice, and is a testament to how hard he fought to maintain normality during such an obviously difficult time. He trained, worked, spent time with his loved ones, finished his post-graduate degree, graduated and, knowing Shane, enjoyed a drink or two.

The last couple of days have shown, through the power of Facebook, that Shane has touched so many people while he was here. He was one of the funniest and kindest people I knew. He will be greatly missed.

With the blessing of his family, I have set up this JustGiving page so that, through Shane's memory, others that find themselves in a similar position can be helped. The Brain Tumour Charity was important to Shane, and their work is pioneering the way forward to one day finding a cure.
