Jen was my Mother-in-Law. I don't remember Jen before the MS but I have been told of her energy. I did know Jen into the initial years of her MS and my relationship with her daughter Debbie, her love of life was always evident.

I know of John Freeston my Father-in-Law who gave up a great career to be a full time carer. I remember the outstanding level of care and detail in John's caring, I remember his resourcefulness and I also remember his praise for the MS Society in offering support to sufferers and carers.

I remember the visits and the cruel but steady detoriation that comes with Jen's particular Multiple Sclerosis condition. I remember lots of pride and presentation during these visits, a strong commitment to maintaining a good life.

As I run my 10K with Alex, Lucy and Phil I will think about many things but most of all I will think of the generosity of those who have given to help the MS Society help and advise others such as John and Jen. .
